Probably bad form to comment on your own post, but I'm thinking of doing a week-long art club a couple times a year. More project based. The teacher at Turkeyfoot does something like this. What do you think?
I have art club weekly- Tuesday, till 5:00. Students pay $25 fee to cover supplies and an end of the year field trip. I was hoping this year, to have top notch students, but have over 20 students of varying abilities- resource students to gifted. I have montly goals and plans. Sept was green artwork- using treasures. Oct was portrait and mask. Nov will be different.
